Wellington, Fla. — Feb. 8, 2017 — The jog inspection held on Wednesday morning in anticipation of Adequan Global Dressage Festival’s (AGDF) fifth week of CDI competition sponsored by Diamante Farms was met with enthusiastic horses and riders from all over the globe. Olympians and world-class riders such as Steffen Peters, Laura Graves, Tinne Vilhemson-Silfven and Lisa Wilcox will ride up the centerline in this week’s CDI Grand Prix 3* and 5* competition.

All but two passed the inspection this morning, one of which was Denmark’s Mikala Gundersen and her 17-year-old Danish Warmblood mare, My Lady, who has held for reinspection. Judith Sloan and her 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding, Dustin, who are entered in the small tour CDI for Adult Amateurs, was also held for reinspection. After being presented in the jog for the second time, it was determined that My Lady and Dustin will be inspected again on Thursday, February 9 at 7:30 a.m.

Canadian rider Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu will be competing in the Grand Prix CDI5* this week on her 12-year-old KWPN gelding All In. The pair placed third in the CDI-W Grand Prix Freestyle during the first week of AGDF. She will ride a newly designed freestyle featuring a new pattern and new music during Friday night’s freestyle under the lights.

“Wellington is pretty special,” she said. “This is my ninth year coming here, and every year there is something different or something new. Friday night is so fun competing under the lights and having that atmosphere. It’s really a great time.

“We are just working on getting all the movements together for the Grand Prix and getting more secure in that,” Fraser-Beaulieu continued. “I’ve been getting higher scores in that each time I’ve been going out, so I am just aiming to have a clean test and really focus on the piaffe passage.”
